Yeah, you are right. I have been here around some months, and one thing that I realised is that his mind/opinions/arguements are only one direction, no matter what other say. No posible to discuss. It is like a wall or hitting cold steel. Just in case he reads this, don't you know that with your behaviour, even if someday you are right, nobody will trust you? That always when anybody see one of your posts will think "oh man, that guy again! So boring, repetitive." Just think a little bit.

LOL! when I post info on AMD that you can't refute it so, you resort to a flame post plead?

waaaaaa, "Ignore meltdowns flameposts please!", waaaaaaa!

only ppl without backbones will listen to you! if you're flying the AMD flag then refute my post, be a man about it!

btw, I think you go away long before I do.

personally I don't give a sh!t if you respond to my post or not, as long as you read it then that's all that matters.

so far none of you AMDbootlickers have the balls or the smarts to go up and refute the info I've posted, that only means two thing: it's all true and you do anything to surpress it.

if you want to be a follower and listen to matisaro then go right ahead and show how weak and patheic you really are.

man, where's kelledin?

But really Matisaro, don't you just find him hilarious. When I see his posts I just howl man. He is just a little man in real life and can act as big as he wants on the net. Lifes too short.

AMDmeltdown, although I really dont agree with some your posts as my handle suggests. That is some funny stuff you come up with.

If I was a mod, I'd get his ass banned in a whif, made sure his IP won't be accepted and keep banning any troll like him, making this place once more peaceful and fun.

Agreed! On the other forums I'm on, the forum AUP holds above freedom of speech. So, in other forums, you can get banned for swearing or just bothering several other forum members.

I agree. The stuff Melty posts is usually a few days outdated and everyone's read about it already, but the way he posts it and his titles just makes for great comic relief (which this forum is in dire need of).

Anyone who genuinely gets pissed off at Melty needs to take a shot or two of Novocaine and chill! It's just a forum for Pete's sake and even newbies generally know that half the advice on ANY amateur site is just BS. You want to get pissed at something, how about getting in a wreck with a drunk driver, that's worth getting pissed about. Melty? Nah! Just relax and enjoy his amusing efforts at tearing down AMD! But I assure you that if you own AMD stock, Melty's comments will affect the stock price somewhat less than the success or failure of their processors (sarcasm).

Although I must say that Melty doesn't *always* post BS. Sometimes he gives decent advice on cooling etc and his latest link to the Emulator dude was actually quite informative (although myself and probably many others of us had already read it).

If AMD_Meltdown had his way Intel would be the only PC processor manufacturer in the world. Then we would all be paying about a $2 a MHz. Intel would then slow innovation/production. Why make something better if you, the consumer, can't choose anything else. Therefore, we would all have the same processors. My friends this is what's known as communism. Yes, AMD_Meltdown is a communist.

I can't think of a good signature so I'll use this one.

Reply to Black_Cat

Note to everyone, I said ignore his flame posts, not his posts in their entierty(although its the same thing), this is not a flame on meltdown,. but sound advice.

Obviously you never read when Melty insults us. He even once had the spunk to tell people to ignore advice from Canadians claiming they live in cold areas, so their advice on cooling for Athlons won't make sense compared to the person who is asking a question for help.
Sorry dude, but Melty crossed the line many times instead of being just funny. Not only that but his so-called advice of yours that sometimes makes sense, is highly biased, and I can feel the trolling behind his words. No matter how nice he can become to people, each of his "nice" posts will feel biased and troll to me...

That's my point exactly: an insult on an amateur forum like this is next to meaningless and anyone who takes it seriously needs to grow up and be weaned off them diapers!!!

I've seen Melty's Canada argument before and it gets me rolling every time!! But I don't think this was the best example for you to bring up, seeing as how you actually posted about some heat wave in Canada causing your temps to go way up...

BTW, I live in Houston and summer is hot and lasts five months. And worse, we often get 100% humidity. Do you realize how poor air cooling gets when it's hot and humid together? I mean, of course we use A/C but I leave it off while I'm at work (otherwise we'd have a $300 electric bill) so when I get back home it's hot in the house, and it can take an hour for the A/C to get it cool. During that time, my poor P3 can see temps of 45°C or more!

An airconditioned house with high humidity would cool better than an airconditioned house with low humidity, so if you have ac the humidity issue is moot.

Air conditioning by definition makes the resulting air cool *and* dry. It's part of the refrigeration process: when the air exchanges heat with the refrigerant, it gets very cold and the water just drops right out. There's a drip pipe outside your house that shunts this knocked out water to the ground.

This is why when you use the defroster in your car, it clears up your windshield. The defroster uses the A/C system to get dry air blowing on your windshield, which sucks the moisture right up like a vacuum. Also, on a car running A/C you'll see lots of water dripping from a tiny pipe on the bottom of the car, usually near the front.

It should not matter that much to your computer what the humidity is as to computer temp, as computers don't use evaporative cooling as humans do. I believe humid air acually conducts heat a little better.

Reply to dancen

If Melty thinks Canadians live in cold areas...he's right!
But in summer time, it gets really damn hot!! Like Florida hot! So, that remark of his was pure hogwash!
By the way...living in Canada has its perks...I can remove all my cooling from my case and put it outside on the snow bank instead during winter...hehe...

"If there's grass on the field...play ball!!"

Reply to Conehead

I would agree it gets cold here in Winter. But which part of North America, specifically the northern areas don't get cold then! It proves he is very misinformed about the northern neighbors. Especially also when most of us posting here live in southern Quebec, and the other parts of Canada where it is also hot. In Winter I also had hot times, partly of humidity, or that the heat is on.

No, I live in Toronto. IIRC, Toronto has the highest average temp in Canada year round.

It's still weird though. The worst temp this year was ~-20C. A couple of years back it went all the way down to ~-40c. In the summer, it goes up to 45c with 100% relative humidity. Crazy range of year-wide temps here in Toronto, if you ask me.

Actually thats not by deffintion, but your right, however the humid air variable was given to me by someone else, if you have ac on the air will be less humid yes, but the higher the humidity in the air the better thermal absorbancy said air has, which is all I meant.
