OK...I know this post is in the wrong forum,but I couldn't find any place better to ask sooooo here it is...

1.Whenever I try to start Madden 2002 or NBA Live 2000 it gives me an error message that says this:

TIMER_init - FAILED TO INITIALIZE MULTIMEDIA TIMER

File: \real\pc\inittmr.c
Line: 308

Methinks the programmers are idiots and forgot to include the file when they made the program. Look for patches/updates.

And compilers are written in assembly.

What OS? Make sure you have DX8 at least installed on your system. 8.1 would be even better.

I don't need an anti-virus program, I just boil my computer once a week.

did you download it or crack it. sometimes when you download these things during the unzip part, some files get corrupted. and other times when you try to crack them, the person who made the crack didn'r compile it right so now you have a bad file. you can see if one of your friends have the game, all you need is to copy it to a floppy and paste it into the right dir.
