Lilo problem

I'm totally new to linux and I'm trying to install Red Hat 6.0 on my old 486-system with 28 mb ram and two HD's of 405 mb and 202 mb. Everything goes fine until the install process reached the making of a boot disk. I insert a blank disk but he keeps saying there's an error in doing this step. When I skip the making of a bootdisk, he ask me to install lilo in the mbr or on the first sector of the root partition. Neither of the two works as I also get an error in doing this step. What did i do wrong?

I made 4 partitions:
/ => 150 mb
/usr => 389 mb
/boot => 16 mb
swap => 52 mb

Packages installed are almost the default ones.
Could it help installing everything in one partition? Or did I make a major mistake as a starter in partitioning.

If you know ANY answer, tell me, because I want to work with Linux very quickly...

Thanks

Solved the problem... I used the updated boot.img from the site of RedHat. It seems to be corrupted when it has to make a bootdisk or has to install lilo...
I now used the original boot.img from the CD and everything went fine...
