1. What is your budget? $1900 max (£1200)

2. What is the size of the notebook that you are considering? 15-16inch

3. What screen resolution do you want? dont mind

4. Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop? good power and not to heavy

5. How much battery life do you need? at least 4 hours when doing basic task such as web browsing

6. Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)? Some medium gaming

7. What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo/Video editing, Etc.) Heavy Video editing and CAD work

8. How much storage (Hard Drive capacity) do you need? 400gb or more

9. If you are considering specific sites to buy from, please post their links. Dont mind

10. How long do you want to keep your laptop? 3 years minimum

11. What kind of Optical drive do you need? DVD ROM/Writer,Bluray ROM/Writer,Etc ? dvd writer

12. Please tell us about the brands that you prefer to buy from them and the brands that you don't like and explain the reasons. no preference

It should last around 3-5hrs depending on the usage.
But if you don't want it,then consider XPS 15.It'll probably cost more but offers up to
6-7hrs of battery

Battery life will depend on what you are doing at any given moment, if you are doing some heavy CPU intensive task, the battery will drain quickly. If however, you are simply surfing the web or doing emails etc. It will last longer, e.g. my Q2630 based notebook with HD 6770 lasts for well over 4 hours when I am doing normal less CPU/GPU intensive tasks, but if I am playing a game (e.g. TF2) with high performance profile, the battery lasts few minutes shy of 1 hour.
