Time tracking software

Does anyone know where I could find an open-source time-tracking project?

Ideally it would work as follows:

I can install it on my system, it would track 'active' time spent in applications, and then give me reports.

ex.

Today -
Microsoft office: 64 minutes
Firefox: 84 minutes
Thunderbird: 22 minutes

It would also need the sophistication to determine when I was 'active' in an application, and not be ticking the timer when I am in the other room playing with my cats but have the window open (afk).

Our telephone and web-based employee time clock system is totally optimized for the web (unlike typical client/server technology). As a result, our system is fast and very easy to use.

Replicon's Time tracking software seems to be a good choice for all your requirements. I have been using it since 4 years without any difficulty and very much satisfied with their services.
