Will there be more transistors on the Tbred\Bartons, and if so, how many more?

I am pretty sure the tbred will have the same number of transistors as the axp, as for the barton it should have however many more transistors it takes for 512k cache.

1 bit of SRAM consists 6 transistors. Barton is supposed to have 512K L2 cache, or 256K more L2 Cache than AXP.
256K * 1024bytes/K * 8 bits/byte * 6 = 12.6 million, which means Barton will have 50M transistors if nothing else is changed.

well athlon had 37million, XP has 37.5, addig SSE and hardware prefetch & other optimisations, so one can expect tbred to have very similar numbers, depending on how much tinkering they did with the core.

CaSTLE your forgetting the perhiphary transistors to control sram access, it isnt as simple as 6 for each bit, which is why I didnt venture a guess ;-).
