Upgrade to SSD

I currently have a 1TB HDD and windows 7 home premium installed on it i want to upgrade my RAM to 16GB and use a SSD for my OS, i am planning to buy windows 7 professional so my OS supports 16GB of ram but i still want to use my 1TB HDD for my games. would this set-up work fine?

Windows 7 Home Premium supports 16 gigs , no need to upgrade OS.
