WD passport failure

Hello, i recently got a new laptop with windows 7 and since plugging in my WD passport into it it has stopped being recognized by any computer we have in the family.
What can i do to get it recognized again?

If several other computers can't recognize the drive, it sounds like it is probably dead.

I wish I had an answer for you. I MOVED all my docs, pix, videos, pretty much everything that's important to me to my Passport and it failed the other day. Diagnostics say that it can't be recovered. WD response is 'sorry about that'.
