Looking To Purchase for school

Im looking to purchase other a netbook, small notebook or tablet for school. All i want to use it for is word processing, and non multitask internet use such as email. Money is not a issue, although at the moment i do own a Alienware Mx15, but i want something MUCH smaller and better battery life for school. I just don't want to lug this thing around in school when it takes up half my backpack and only last's a couple hours on battery. Wanting to use Office or another good program for taking notes and writing equations out. Thanks for your guys input!
