This isn't the kind of thread I expected to first see when I got here this morning.

Anyhow, I love Newegg. I order everything from them...unless they don't have it, like the monitor I just got.

I noticed that they are a little more on cases, but I know they have great service. I don't know about the other companies. Good service is worth a couple extra dollars in my book.

Yeah, all those cases from Antec, Enermax and Chieftech are the same. I think there's one other brand, but I can't remember what it is.

Interesting ... have you had your lithium today?!? As BIGG SNOOP DOGG would say, "Don't hate the playa(in this case NEWEGG), hate the game(their ability to consistently offer great prices, speedy delivery and impressive customer service)!"

Go ahead and tell the devil, tell him I need a new pair of sox and that I still want that five bux he owes me(never spot the devil for a value meal at McD's).

Reply to gal128

Heh, he's referring to some guy that basically said that because he hated Newegg for some reason and couldn't understand why we all love Newegg.

That's it darn you. You're all going to heck. I mean Jesus Cripes! You all just make me so gosh-darned mad, I just want to frigging scream at the top of my lungs!

;)

Seriously though, I know this is way off subject, but has anyone ever wondered just why we have so many ways not to swear? It's so funny. I love it when people swear these days. It just feels right.

So, NewEgg really rocks then? One of these days I just might put together an order, so it'd be cool to order from trustworthy people and all that. One thing that was really bugging me about NewEgg though was how everything they advertise on PriceWatch isn't in stock! It's annoying. Why advertise if you don't actually have it?

NewEgg is a highly watched sight and stuff doesn't last for long.

I'd recommend ordering everything from newegg EXCEPT cases which are a bit limited and expensive last I checked. They might be getting better.

I've found that they are out of stock one day and back in stock by the next day in many cases. It kinda depends on what the item is. The ECS K7S5A was constantly in and out of stock for example since it was so popular.

Keep in mind that no matter who you buy from it's the shipping that they'll try to kill you with. I found that Newegg is good about it unless you only buy one or two things. On a full order it's really cheap. I only wish they were outside of CA so that I didn't have to pay sales tax.

Seeing the subject here, I want to ask for some help. I live in Spain (Europe), and it's really f***ing difficult to find a good place to buy from internet. Do you know any site? Or even a US site or somewhere else that send the components to Europe?

Thank you for your advice in advance. You (in US/Canada) are very lucky, because so many options to choose and competition gives good prices.

*I've return!*

Just to show how things are going on here, I pick up XP processors as an exemple. This is the best I can find from a reliable site. And believe me, I have done a extensive research.

Article - Newegg - Best option here
XP1600+ - $80 - $114
XP1700+ - $97 - $124
XP1800+ - $99 - $145
XP1900+ - $125 - $175
XP2000+ - $153 - $198
XP2100+ - $193 - $310!!!

Note: 1 dollar = 0,945 Euros

That's between nearly 30 to 60 percent more expensive. Damn it!

I don't know. Newegg doesn't ship internationally but you could check with mwave who is also a popular vendor.

Does anyone know who sells Chenming cases at a good price? I was looking at the Antec, but if I can find the same case for cheaper...

that's a difficult question for delivery in Spain, I was going to say dabs.com is a good bet for European deliveries, but they have recently stopped shipping to Europe, now they only ship to England.

sorry, good luck !

Thank you dhlucke and FiL. Mwave don't ship to Europe :-(
Seems I should live with those high prices. I you ever see something like "international shipping" around the net, just put a post on the forum. I will thank you a lot.

It was exceedingly predictable though. I mean you have the extended period of time that it takes to ship internationally. You also have to add time for any layovers if customs agents decide to be annoying. (Which happens a lot with expensive techno stuff ... they might be bombs and all that you know). Plus you have the number of times that internationally-shipped stuff gets beaten and battered around so much that it's useless by the time you get it. (Our company has a lot of problems with that, even when we put everything into more packing materials than you can imagine ... the jostling that stuff gets can still wreak havoc on the internal soldering/wiring/bolting/clamping/etc. even if the outside looks in-tact. The solution our company came up with was simply buying as many locations to ship from world-wide and letting the closest of them ship to the actual customer.) It just is no surprise at all that more and more companies are dropping international shipping just because in the end it costs them more money (not just in replacement and repeat-shipping costs, but also in irate-customer support costs) than they would actually get from the sales of the products.

yeah i can understand the problems they're facing, i just feel sorry for those people now missing out on good prices. in the UK, US and Canada i think people are quite lucky. because outside those 3 countries it's pretty hopeless right now.
