Hi guys! This is my first time. Would appreciate any help.
I reserch many different sites for school homework. The night before I navigate many pages and wait they are fuly downloaded and will check them off-line next morning. I know they are kept in Windows\ Temporary Internet Files.
Navigating off-line is much faster for me with ordinary phone line.
MY PROBLEM IS: Sometimes the HD light will go on (and HD will spin) for 1 to 3 mins and I know Windows (or something else!) will complete delete my Internet Temp Files completely !!! And I will lose all my late night work (sometimes many weeks of it !!!
OK! I already know I have to set Tools/ Internet Options/ Settings / File Size and I did set 500Mb to 1 Giga file size ! Also I did set 365 days to Win98 delete the Historic of visited pages (if that helps !).
MY BIG PROBLEM IS even so Windows keep deleting my Int Temp Files every time the size of them reach something about 200 Mb despite the fact I set more than 500 Mb for them !!
Is there any way to stop this ?? I would hate to save every page I navigate to delete it later on. Is there a way to recover these deleted files ? I've tryed with Norton 2000 undelete tool but was unable even to find them.
My hardware is: Celeron 500 / Asus P3W / 64k Ram / Quantum 10 G HD + Fujtsu 13 G / Motorola SM 56 modem / Intel 810 chipset / Creative 6X dvd/cd-rom. And Win98 SE. Thanks.
