Compatability issues.athlon xp and a7m 266

first off Im new...to anyone whos e answered this before im sorry but i did check 25 pages of archives.Any ways i installed the 1900 plus xp into my a7m 266 mobo..I traded out my t bird that was clocked at 1.4.Any ways i have tried numerous benchmarks and have not noticed anything more than a marginal increase...I was wondering if my mobo is not fully compatible with the processor as it relates to cpu and mobo instructions.I have installed the 1007 bios update from the asus website.(im running win xp and use a 133 fsb)

I have that same motherboard and an 1800XP+ cpu... upgraded from a 1.33 t-bird....

The motherboard handles the XP cpu's just fine as long as you have the 1005 or higher bios...

Whatever benchmark issues you are having, are your own little issues to troubleshoot.... have fun with it!
