Hey i'm just wondering, how good is this computer for gaming? http://www.amazon.co.uk/VIBOX-Precision-DEAL-Multimedia...

Will this be able to handle games like WoW on ultra settings at 60+ fps on a 23 inch monitor with 1920x1080 resolution?

Cheers! :)

Wow. No, it has a TERRIBLE graphics card!

not really calling that a gaming PC is a bit like sticking a red stripe to a 1991 Ford Escort and calling it a race car.

What is your max budget?

Build yourself prebuilt at that price will always be cr@p somewhere either lousy CPU's, lousy graphics or cheap shoddy motherboards and PSU's (the one you linked appears to commit most of those crimes as it fails to identify brands on many parts)

Total £402 (bear in mind that does not include Windows)

It should run you high with decent FPS, you can very easily overclock that CPU. If you want ultra with 60FPS+ find another £70-£100 to get a better graphics card.

I hear that the 6870 is better than the 7770, is this true? Which would be better for 1920x1080 resolution?

If the 6870 is better, could you give me a link? :)

One last question (I know i've asked alot =p)

Would a screwdriver be the only tool I need to build this?

Thanks you've been great at helping me =)

just a screwdriver nothing special needed :)

Hey, I showed this build to someone down my street and they said they could make a better one. I'm not sure if the one he made is better because it uses a weaker graphics card. I decided to make my budget £500 so I can use the GTX 660 with the build you posted.

Here is the build he suggested:

http://www.dabs.com/products/ocz-technology-zs-series-6...

http://www.dabs.com/products/coolermaster-elite-430-bla... ( I like the look of this case so is it compatible with the build you posted? )

Total price: £496

( I'll be playing on a 24 inch monitor instead now on 1920x1080 resolution )

Cheers!

Most games are GPU limited so although his build has a better CPU (a very good one) it will game at lower settings than the build I posted with the 660 (best of both worlds would be the Intel and the 660)... the 650 is a bottom end entry level card for gaming at 1080p it shouldn't be seriously considered

The case would work with either build.

Damn me and my questions! (sigh =p) How much FPS on ultra graphics in WoW do you think I would get with your build and his on a 24inch monitor 1920x1080 resolution?

These benches use a top end graphics card (so the Intel may not get that high on a lower GPU where it will be limited to a point)

To compare GPU's

As you can see the 650ti lacks badly in comparison

Another option if you want Intel and can have some elasticity in budget would be a cheaper i5 (that can't be overclocked) and a H77 board

I forgot to ask but what do i need to make the computer have a wireless connection? I have a wireless router but do i need something else? Cheers
November 19, 2012 12:39:23 PM

You'll need a wireless adapter (unless you choose a motherboard with it built in). Either USB or PCI/PCIe. I would suggest the latter.
November 20, 2012 12:38:28 PM

No, it doesn't but I'm totally out of touch with wireless adapters, maybe someone else could help?

Guys?

Hey, I seem to have a problem, my Hyper TX3 EVO doesn't fit in my Gigabyte 970A-DS3 motherboard. Any help?
