Hello all,

I have an Asus M4A77TD mobo with Via sound drivers. I am running the Win8 CP and since install lost my sound drivers.

I have sound its running in compatibility mode.

The problem is I lost the "boost" on the mic settings and I had to bump the outbound in the Ventrillo settings.

If I try downloading the latest driver from the Asus site the site detects that I don't have win7 64bit and won't let me install them same thing with the install disk.

If I delete the drivers and have windows auto detect them it doesn't get me anywhere either.

Does anyone have any install method or work around to this?

Have you tried looking up which chipset your asus motherboard uses for audio and then going to via technologies' website and pulling the win8 preview drivers? They were uploaded back in July.

I can not find the afore mentioned Via windows 8 drivers and attempting to instal the win7 driver lead to:
1)Just the standard install. BlackOSD death ending up doing a system restore.

2)Installed the Win7 drivers in compatibly mode. Honorable digital feedback and errors. Did an restore just to get it over my machine.

So still don't know where to go with this.
