I am running Windows xp Home Edition. My broadband
connection is via cable (Roadrunner). It works fine.

I purchased a Linksys Wireless-G Broadband Router with
SpeedBooster (Model No. WRT54GS; 2.4 GHz; 802.11g). When
I try to install the Router, the computer doesn't
recognize the connection via the router and tells me that
my local area connection network cable is unplugged. I
have tested the router with another computer, I have
tested the cable running from the router to the computer,
I have even taken the router back to the store and gotten
another one, same model. Same problem occurs. Linksys
support has been very friendly and has spent a lot of time
with me on the phone, but nothing they have suggested has
worked.

Network Connection Wizard doesn't work, nor does the setup
disk that came with the Linksys product.

Does anyone have any idea what in the world is going on or
how to fix? Thanks much!!

Steve, you will need to contact the support section for your hardware. This
newsgroup supports Microsoft's Broadband Networking hardware and software,
only, not networking in general.
