duron v tbird v xp 1800

well, im having a slight bit of bother with my new duron and new hard drive... can anyone shed some light on the subject...
when i had my tbird in my setup it used to score in sandra 2002 standard, about 26000 on the hard drive benchmark, but now that i have changed the cpu to a duron its gone from 26000 to under 10000...
the tbird was an 1100 overclocked 1333 and the duron is a 950 overclocked to 1133.. (can go to 1266 which i thought was rather impressive... but anyway...)
why has my new maxtor 40gig 7200rpm ata133 drive halved in performance, due to a duron? does this mean that the darn thing will go up and a bit more behond with the xp 1800 im hoping to upgrade too?
could someone please help me out...

Check your disk drives in Device Manager. Make sure DMA is enabled for your hard drive in the settings.

nope, cant be that, dma is enabled and the via hardware is all running fine...
like i said, i know that everything else hasnt changed, bar the cpu... i dont know whats going on...

if all else fails... kick it and if it goes wrong, say it wasnt you...
