Hey. Yes i am an absolute newbie with linux, but i just can't get X to boot up. I get the error 'no screen'. This is to do with my graphics card i presume, but i don't know how to get the drivers which i've burnt to a CD installed onto linux, can someone help?

I'm running slackware 8.1, and the ATI radeon drivers are .rpm, which is Redhat format.

Brave lad... Slackware is pretty much the "anti-newbie" distro. ;-)

You probably want to install the rpm software, then install the drivers as normal (rpm -i).
