Ive got my hands on a system that currently has one PII 450 in it. It is capable of supporting two processors. I believe it can go up to a PIII 600, but Im only interested in getting another PII 450. So my question is When putting in a second PII does the code on the CPU, for example SL2WB, have to be identical to the one that is already in the computer, in this case SL2U7?

Those two should be fine. The only difference is that SL2WB was a Boxed Processor, while SL2U7 was OEM. The rest of the specs (cpuid, stepping etc) for those CPUs are the same.
