AMD vs Intel..?? which one

Which one has better gaming performance ie fps??

Pentium 4 2.0A or
Athlon XP 2100+

I want to upgrade and these are the fastest CPU's available in NZ right now.

If you do not overclock the 2100+, the 2100+ is roughly equal to a 2.2ghz p4.

If you overclock, p4, if you dont, amd.

SImple, easy, efficient.

AthlonXP 2100+ if both are compared at stock speed.
P4 2.0A if both chips are OC'd to the max (the P4 OCs farther).

XP2200 would make the battle more fair and would easily be in favor of the 2200.

I'm sure it would, but shouldn't we be comparing the 2.0A against the XP2000+. How good of a battle would that be?

The 2000+ is faster than the 2ghz p4, the 2100 is faster than the 2.2ghz p4(faster or roughly equal).

On the B 533 bus, the pr rating comes in slightly behind the mhz of the p4.
