No arctic silver on XP's??????

this might sound stupid, but im installing a retail 1800+ xp and i noticed it doesnt come with any arctic silver. so i read the install instructions and it doensnt mention using any and even goes as far as to say the medium must be kept clean. sooooooo, do i put any on or what?

Well, the retail comes with a HSF which has a little sticky thermal sticker on the bottom to attach. You could always remove this and use Arctic Silver III. Arctic Silver will transfer heat a lot better than the original sticker, but the sticker is fine for stock speeds.

What's the deal with lampshades, I mean it's a lamp, why would you want a shade?
