How tough is a p4? It is very difficult taking off the cooler. I was doing that and the cooler tipped and jumped across the core. It is working but is it possible to damage it and it still might be able to run but not as usual? Well,I allways thought either it works or not but now I am not sure.

You could always run Prime95 or Toast for awhile. If it´s running ok, it´ll run anything!

The reason it ran slower was that I upgraded my bios and it set the clock at 100 instead of 133.

How is it difficult to take off the heatsink? You pull up on the two levers and pull off the heatsink. Socket 478 heatsinks are the velcro shoes of the computer world.

You obviouly do not know what you are talkig about. If you pull, you will pull the whole socket off it is atached in all for side, like four arrows nailing it to the socket. You need to pull each corner to the side at the same time. I am sure you are wearing nice velcro shoes when you go to work...
