Hi, my a7v266 system won't post...

The assembled system initially worked fine, then started to freeze and reboot. When rebooting, sometimes also entering bios setup with clock frequency setting highlighted(standing on 900 MHz instead of the actual 1200) Suddenly one day the system couldn't post at all, just beeps continuosly (short beeps).

Have tried to remove everything except mem and video, same result..
Also removed the cpu to see if it's fried, but it seems ok to me...

Any suggestions?? Bad memory?, mobo?, can it be the cpu??

Thanks in advance!!
/Johan

System:
AMD TBird 1200
asus a7v266

Register or log in to remove.

check the manual to see what the beeps are signaling, different types of beeps mean different things, try different memory and graphics card if you can, also make sure you mount all components properly.

the beeps says either bad cpu or undetectable memory...only way to figure out is to change to other components i guess..?
