Hello,
I recently bought a Sony laptop from HH Gregg. They had installed their name (hhgregg) as the owner, which I was able to change through the registry. However, I can't remove or change their name from the media device network icon. I tried to delete their user ID from the users folder, but an error message says the folder is in use by another program, which I suspect is Media Player.
How to I get rid of their name?

Skieley,

Have you attempted to create a new user and set it as an Administrator account? From there you can use your [new] admin account to remove the undesirable one.

Should you require additional assistance and guidance, Microsoft does have an official Windows 7 Support Forum located here http://tinyurl.com/9fhdl5 . It is supported by product specialists as well as engineers and support teams.

Jessica,

Thanks for the reply. I had already done what you said but the hhgregg folder only shows up in the users folder whcih is in the root of the C:\drive and is not present in the User Account window that is accessed through the Control Panel, so I can't delete it there.
