you might want to get a athlon xp or P4 when AMD releases it's new processor, i'm pretty sure they will drop the prices on their regular processors.

Well, as for speakers, there is the acoustic edge, the santa cruz, and the audigy. All are good. As for the pros, I wouldn't get them. Go either with the z-560 for cheaper, or if you dont really need a sub, you can get the incredible value of the diva swans m200, for $200, these are a really good set of speakers, beating every computer setup currently sold in sound quality (the sirocco pros are no more)

*shrugs* the pricing for sound cards and speakers are relatively static. I doubt that Klipsch will drop their pricing anytime soon.

There is a review for some speaker systems, although that's not a lot by far. *shrugs* I really haven't been able to tell a big difference between 4.1 and 5.1 systems. I own a 4.1 myself, and was able to hear a 5.1 at a computer shop. It depends on your needs, higher wattage for more stable volumes (less staticy at higher levels). Just to save money, for $40 I bought the Altec Lansing AVS-500 4.1 system with a sub until I load up with a Klipsch Promedia 5.1 (I'm hoping). Not a bad set for $40 *grins*
