It depends on how much editing you want to do. If you want such advanced features as cool transition and special effects, titling, various exporting formats, etc, then you should consider those pro software like Adobe Premiere or Ulead Media Studio Pro. On the other hand, if you only do simple editing, MGI Video Wave will be a good choice.
BTW, shouldn't your card be bundled with some editing software in addition to MyVIVO? What card is it?
I have a Leadtek Winfast Ti 4200. It says on the box that it comes with Video Studio 6, but I cant find it on any of the CD's. I dont know if its worth the bother of trying to get another one, if its really cool then I'll try. I tried using the one that comes with XP but its a load of crap. The quality gets shot to hell when you save stuff (even when using the option for best quality) compared to the original unedited video. I dont suppose that any good programmes will be free??
Get your copy of Video Studio 6. It's much better than the one that comes with XP. The output quality depends how good the encoding codecs are used. And that's what make the professional video editing software so much superior than those freebies.
Thanks for the help, I'll try get it. I bought the card from a friend of mine (not second hand, he's a dealer) and usually he's a bit of a slouch when it comes to stuff like this, but I'll get on his back about it.
