I think it would be pointless. The only thing the C3 has going for it is low power consumption/low heat output. But since the Celeron can get the same performance at half the speed, and because the Celeron cost LESS, people would be better off with a low voltage "mobile Celeron" in their desktop than a C3. Overclocking would require you to raise the voltage and heat output, at 2GHz the C3 MIGHT be as fast as a Celeron Tualatin 1.0GHz, but it would probably output twice the heat. All this is theoretical of course as the C3 1GHz would never hit 2GHz.

Hmm, I had such idea about putting mobile XP in desktop m/b, but I read that they are incompatible and now I run underclocked duron. So you say that when you put mobile Celeron onto a desktop m/b Speed Step will work? Please explain something more about using mobile cpus in desktop systems
