Nothings responds after about 1 minute from starting the PC HELP

So here's my issue, I boot the computer and everything is fine, but after about one minute nothing will open, if I try to start a program cursor will look like it's loading it, but nothing happens, the Internet connection will also fail and any new chrome tab I try to open will work. I think this might be related to my sister trying to download a movie from a torrent. When I came home I found an exe file with a movie name on u torrent I asked her and she said she didn't open it, I hope. I tried restoring to a previous state but that doesn't work either. The problem started about 3 days ago, and I installed a cpu cooler about two weeks ago, if that has anything to do with the problem.

if you didnt put enough thermal paste on the cpu cooler or clean the old and put new paste on then the cpu could be overheating most likely

if you had a.exe file that was supposed to be a movie you very well could have a virus aswell.....even if you did not click on the virus it could still mess things up..

I changed the paste and screwed the cooler really tight and it got fixed. Thanks
