I finally bought a song over the internet. It was either I buy a whole album for $15 + tax + shipping or I spend 99 cents online. I then bought the whole EP for $5 instead just to get all the versions but that's cool with me. I'm impressed. It was fast and cheap.

Question for you. How do you convert the songs bought via iTunes to MP3 format, so you can whack 'em on an MP3 player? Reason I ask is that my new broadband provider seduces you with 40 free tracks from iTunes. I've got 20 or so down so far, but neither WMP10 nor the Sony transfer software for my MP3 player recongnises the format (m4p?!).
So I've got them, perfectly legit, yet I can only play them through the iTunes software at the moment. That blows.
Any ideas? This ain't exactly my area of expertise.
winamp should read them....i dont use iTunes because i have self respect and i dont like the software and frankly i can steal just as easy as buy.....uh....i mean accidently barrow...lol, nah...i buy about 5-10CDs a year...more then i did before i DL'd music...i like buying CDs sometimes....
They make programs to convert them i think....but the easiest is to burn them to a CD and then rip them to your HDD as an MP3....that should take about 4min total and give you a copy of those songs on a CD for your car or something too...not bad.
Ah, never thought of that. I think there is a feature to burn a CD from within the software, so I'll have a butchers when I get home. I'll get WinAmp too. Nice one, thanks.
I wouldn't bother with iTunes either, but hey, it's free. The deal is worth £30 of freebies, so as soon as I've had my fill, I'll get rid of the software and go back to my old ways.
yes iTunes has the software to burn a CD built in...and the beauty is that CDs use WMA files, not the protected type....so you can rip like any other CD....its good times.
When you said when you got home i was like....wtf are you doing away from your house at 2:30 and at a computer....i forgetted that you are in the UK....or england...honestly i dont really know when to use which name....i am amercian i am not allowed, by law, to know about things outside of our boarder.

I tunes downloads the songs in some weird format. I read the help file and it converted them to the right format for cd and burned a cd for me so that I could listen to them in my car. I figure you probably could convert them to mp3 or if worst came to worst you could convert them to cd format and then back to mp3. Read the help file since I didn't do it.
Is there also a law making you spell like a 10year old?

my keyboard is being rediculous...the buttons are sticking and are pissing me off so i am typing angry....and i spell like a 10yr old, so its doubly bad.

Yup, i live in the greater seattle area, i live about 20min from downtown and i could get there in about 10min if there were no speed limits right now....(rush hour it would take me about 1.5-2hours...lol) the I405 to I5 is one of the WORST section of hwy in the country every year....seattle always has 2 of the top 10 from national sources like TIME and Newsweek and recently we have had 2 of the top 5....in the whole focking US....YAY SEATTLE!!
