OVERCLOCKING CELERON 1.7?

A friend of mine succeeded to overclock his P4 Cel1.7GHz only @ 1904MHz. (112 MHz bus). When he tried to increase the voltage, the temperature went too high, despite of his comparetively good fan. I explained him that was perhaps because of the 18nM core technology. Anyway, I'm yet curious what's the higher limit of Cel 1.7GHz overclocking? With regular fan, I mean.
And also, what are the Intel's future plan of new Celerons? When will we have 2 - 2.5 GHz Celerons?

tried replacing the thermal pad with decent thermal paste?
better heatsink?

those 0.18 micron p4's do pump out considerable amounts of heat.

the old 0.18 p4's could only overclock to 2 to 2.2 Ghz... i wouldnt expect the p4 celleron @ 0.18 to get any higher.

and why would intel release high end cellerons in the p4 area?
u wont see celerons above 2ghz until p4's are at 3ghz or better.

Anandtech got the 1.7 to 2.17GHZ. It wasn't any better than the 2GHZ, was smoked many times, sometimes up to twice slower in encoding, and for such a hot CPU with the OC, it is NOT worth it.
What might be worth is the 0.13m 256K L2 Celerons soon, those are like Willies on 0.13m, half the cache of NWs, which might result in big OCs.
