Can this wireless adapter be used with a LinkSys wireless
router. I already have this wireless router and now want
to set up XBOX with this wireless router.

Generally, yes, but it depends on whether the router is Xbox compatible.
Remember, if you're already running WPA encryption on the router, the MN-740
will only do WEP.
