I am running Windows XP SP2 and when I run the Microsoft
set up disk for the MN-500, I get the following warning,
"Microsoft Broadband Networking has a known compatibility
issue with this version of Windows. For an update that is
compatible with this version of Windows, contact
Microsoft Broadband Networking." It recommends a link to
this site
(http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/broadbandnetworking)
but I cannot find anything helpful there. What should I
do?

I would just update the firmware, as Mike suggested with the URL. On
Windows XP, you don't need the front-end software to administer the base
station. You can do that by going to your base station IP in your browser.

BTW - the "incompatibility" is between the old front-end software and SP2,
not the router's firmware.
