I have a Zire 72 which I currently use with a Siemens S55 sometimes to
pick up email, connecting the two via Bluetooth. It all works well,
though I'm wanting a newer phone and have my eye on the likes of the
Samsung E720 or D500, or the Motorola V3.
However, I'm also toying with buying a keyboard for the Zire (I used
to have one for the Palm Vx I had for years - I didn't use it often,
but when I did it was invaluable). It has set me thinking - given that
text input on a phone, if it is well laid out, can be reasonably quick
are there any phones for which there are drivers that would allow them
to be used as a keyboard for a Zire 72? Or am I being a bit
optimistic?

The latter. Never seen any PalmOS drivers for a shoephone as keyboard.
