Does anyone know if you can change the Windows Screen upon the first boot? For some reason, I don't get the Windows 98SE screen, only Windows 98. My friend's machine does and we both installed it at the same time. Any suggestions?

You can change the bootup and shutdown screens. You can find a good article on the details at:

My version of Win98SE also has the same bootup screen as my older Win98. To change it basically involves creating a 320- by 400-pixel, 256-color image using paint and saving the file in the root directory of your boot drive [usually your C: drive] as logo.sys.
