and the current round of rumors going around (again) is that the tbred/barton WILL come with a 166Mhz FSB, further differentiating between the duron tbred (133) and the XP tbred/barton (133 and/or 166).

Let's just hope that the price of the low-end Athlons will be similar to Duron's.

This FSB rumor is not going to be true. "Barton" Athlons will have 133MHz (266 MHz DDR) FSB. That is about 99.999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999% sure.

Lower clocked Athlon XP's will be at least equally priced compare to today's Durons. They may be cheaper than Durons, because current Durons have 106 mm square die size and low priced Athlon XP's will have 80 mm square die size.

Yeah, unfortunatelly, they will start running at 133 MHz FSB... Let's hope they will progress to 166 MHZ later.
I doubt if XP 1600+ will cost about $28-30 - if this happens, I will migrate to XP ;-)
