Why can't I keep outlook express? I bought a new netbook with Windows 7. I don't have time to stop and learn a new program, and I don't like Windows Live Mail at all. What is the simplest solution? Should I just buy outlook ??

Sorry, Outlook Express has officially come to the end of it's reign.

I'd strongly advise against the full Outlook program if all you want is simple e-mail. Outlook is designed to be integrated into a corporate environment running Microsoft Exchange - for simple email it's like using a semitrailer to move a few boxes.

The two most popular choices are:

Windows Live Mail - this is Microsoft's "official" sequel to Outlook Express.

Mozilla Thunderbird - this is the open-source offering from Mozilla. I use Thunderbird and have been very happy with it.
