Diamond v770 Ultra tnt2
384 Mb ram sdram

The bios and mobo are overclocking unfriendly. nowhere i can change fsb or ratio... plz help me find a way to overclock this poor machine. i read ur article about overclocking oem mobos but didnt understand it. Anyone else who can help me, your assistance is welcomed.

If you can find a way to make the motherboard do what you want, you will still have the heat problem with that Katmai600. IIRC that was right at the end of 0.25u feature sizes, so the 600 was the hottest Katmai made. At least these days there are monstrous heat sink solutions to choose from.

Is that thing slot 1?

Hi,

If you already have scaned your bios for oc options then you gotta find out what MB thats in the machine, and then try to find a BIOS that fits and overwrite the DELL 'bios' - BUT BEWARE!!! Get some assistance from a pro.

But you might wanna throw us some more tech spec. about the MB =)

Can't do that, it's an Intel motherboard.

It can't be overclocked. First problem is that the Katmai is unstable over 600MHz. Second problem is that the board doesn't support higher bus speeds in hardware. If it were an i810 or i815 board and a Coppermine, you could get 800MHz out of it.
