I recently purchased the Abit kg20 with XP 1900+
combination from a website, It works fine as long
as I dont change the FSB to 133mhz, when i do using
the dip switches it freezes on boot up, any tips or
suggestions? what is the point of selling a
combination if the motherboard it comes with can only
support 1200mhz while the processor can support
1600mhz? I am running out of ideas.

Thanks In advance,
Bryce Schiffhouer

it runs it fine with a FSB of 100mhz
it blue screens on startup if i change the FSB to 133mhz
that just doesnt seem like a power supply issue to me, im using that computer right now at 1200mhz

This may very well be an issue of inadequate power. The faster FSB and core speeds may push the power requirement over what your current PSU can sustain.

I would recommand you to get a PSU from Enermax.

ok i got a nice alluminum case with a 320 watt power supply today and i have the exact same problem, the computer crashes on startup if i change the dip switches to a front side bus of 133mhz, I am not sure if there are any other settings that must be changed, i contacted the tech support department from where i bought the machine and they tell me to change the clock multipliers in a setting that doesnt exist in my bios. so im not sure where to proceed from here.

ahhh help
