14. Please tell us any additional information if needed.

I want it to have the Nvidia GTX 580m graphics card but I'm not sure what would be better, having dual 570m's(or dual anything lower than the 580) or having a single 580m.

1. What is your budget?

$2500

2. What is the size of the notebook that you are considering?

17.3" or higher

3. What screen resolution do you want?

Not too picky here, but something 1600x900 or over, 1920x1080 preferably

4. Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop?

Desktop replacement.

5. How much battery life do you need?

I don't really care when it comes to this, maybe 3-4 hours.

6. Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)?

Yes, and as high as possible with the battery life above. Crysis 2, Battlefield 3 is what I'm aiming at.

7. What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo/Video editing, Etc.)

music, video editing <- But this is really not that important, this is a Gaming laptop primarily before anything else.

8. How much storage (Hard Drive capacity) do you need?

at least 500gb and 7200rpm

9. If you are considering specific sites to buy from, please post their links.

I need a website with FAST SHIPPING and one that offers an upgrade in thermal compound for gpu and cpu when you're customizing everything.

10. How long do you want to keep your laptop?

2 years at least

11. What kind of Optical drive do you need?

Nothing special here to save money

12. Please tell us about the brands that you prefer to buy from them and the brands that you don't like and explain the reasons.

Not too picky here but I do like Asus.

13. What country do you live in?

USA

Yeah I read some good reviews abbout the G74 but I would really like it to have the GTX 580m if possible. I'm thinking I might order from Clevo but not entirely sure.

Customize one yourself! http://www.xoticpc.com/
I sorted the laptops by video cards, went nvidia, and did ctrl + f for the 580m and the cheapest you can start building starts at $1230.93.
Seeing as you have a big budget, you can customize it to your needs :D

Performance offered from a Desktop is uncomparable to laptop, but since you insist on laptop, I would have to agree on the g74.

Id suggest having a Clevo 170HM / 180 HM custom built.

http://forum.notebookreview.com/sager-clevo/91510-clevo...

I generally go thru my selection process here just because of the web site layout makes things simple ..... and then go buy somewhere else.

http://www.pro-star.com/index.cfm?mainpage=serial-price...

Your budget indicates you can well afford a CPU upgrade over the base on the G74 and Clevo models ..... however, feedback I have gotten on the G74 the cooling system on the Asus is strained by anything over the i7-2630QM

And give up on the 3-4 hours..... gaming and intensive applications are mutually exclusive to that kind of battery life.

Clevo sells the same designs to dozens of "re-branders" including Sager, XoticPC, Eurocom, RJtech, RKC notebooks, Pro-Star, PowerNotebooks, Origin PC, AVAdirect, V3 Gaming PC, Falcon Northwest, CyberPower, iBuyPower, System 76, PC Torque, Puget systems, Vigor Gaming, M-Tech, XTreme Notebooks, Smooth-Creations, MALIBAL, Widow PC, Hypersonic PC systems, WidowPC, Micro Express Computers, Jinco Computers, DevilTech, ChiliGreen, and many many more.
