I have an Asus A7V333 and an Atlon XP2100+. While using my PC, I occasionally get an alarm from the Asus Probe software and a window pops up alerting that CPU voltage is a little over 13 volts. I assume it should be 12 volts? Is this dangerous?

Your CPUs_Vcore voltage is what you really need to be concerned about, mines overclocked to 1.84v, I think the XPs default is around 1.75v, your Vcore voltage can't be over 13v or your processor would have bit the dust immediately. However the total voltage available from the power supply may be exceeding 13v, and your motherboard voltage regulator may have a problem regulating it, and its giving you a warning about it. So either your motherboard is giving you a false signal, or your power supply is supplying too much, nows the time for a good voltage tester to test whats actually coming from the power supply.

Better a little too much than too little. I would adjust the range on the alarm to allow it to hit 13.5v without warning you.
