Buy now, or wait?

I know that new stuff is on the horizon, but how soon are we talking about?

I need to get a whole new computer, and would like to wait if it isn't going to be too long.

Can anyone give me a rundown of what is goign to be coming out within the next month as far as mobo's and video cards are concerned?

I don't have any clue about boards, I just don't seem to take much interest in them ) But as for graphics within the next month we should the ATI Pro 9700 which will be a very nice vid card indeed. Next month (beginning of Q4) we should see a P4 speed increase, 2.6 and maybe even the 2.8Ghz and AMD will throw us a 2400+ and even possibly a 2600+ our way. There's talk of a new Duron too, 1.5GHz, but only a rumour and most likely a faster Celeron, possibly a 2GHz or one with 256 of cache. Also AMD is expected to release another MP chip, the 2200+.

You've got KT400, SiS648, possibly SiS658. Intel will have 2.6/2.66/2.8GHz, prices on 2.26B/2.4B will be $193, 2.53 will be $241. R9700 PRO in a coupl weeks, R9500 in mid September to October. AMD thoroughbreds at 2400+, 2600+ may take til October. I'm sure I'm missing other stuff too.
