Ok, I got winxp pro corp (legit), amd761 chipset AD11, 1.2Ghz T-Bird, 512DDR, 2xd740x HDD's on a RAID 0 using Promise TX2000 controller (80GB array), creative labs sound blaster live platinum, 12x hp burner, 52x sony reader, 40x samsung burner w/ 8mb cache, Quadro DCC, and a Deskjet 5550. Anyway, I start up windows and first it says I have no printer and cannot add a printer. Then ms office opens for a sec, but closes immediatly (and for that one second I can make it print something). Too bad my right leg is in a cast otherwise my case would have a dent in it now I'd kick it so hard. I'm gonna look more at this prob tomorrow- any ideas? (and no, it ain't a virus).

What have you changed lately or is it a fresh install? What about system restore in case it just started acting up?

Nothing has changed. I just get this weird feeling that like win98, xp experiences a slowdown and more probs when more space is used. Dumb pos.

Well, I had less time to look at it than expected. So I did the simple fix: installed office 2002 and used hp's drivers and kinda forced my printer in there. Still doesn't see it but it prints so eh, all's good
