i have read from a review you can unlock the p4. is someone has an idea about? thanks.


i've plugged my home blower to my case ... dunno what happen ... that works?!?

You cannot unlock a P4. They only way to get one is to get an engineering sample that was made unlocked....and those are extremely rare.

It would allow you to change the multiplier.

Unlocking the p4 would open the vault to unknown power. Heh try a 1.6A at 200+ fsb!

You still need the RAM for it. I can't emphacize how much people need to stop thinking one side of the equation and forget the other. To get the performance off 200MHZ FSB, you NEED the RAM like DDR400, or PC1600 RDRAM. Otherwise, it's a wasted experiment IMO. All it proves is it can do that.

Well anyway, maybe DDR II might make things easier, and compete RDRAM's bandwidth, single channeled.
