Apple surpasses Exxon to become most valuable US firm

Apple has become the most valuable company in the US, with its market capitalization overtaking that of Exxon Mobil.

Not bad for a company, which at one point in time needed MS to invest a hefty amount to help it out.

I read recently that Apple had more cash on hand than the US government.
