2.53 CPU Question.

I hope this hasn't been asked as I'm new to this board. I just read this morning that the 2.53 533fsb processor will only work with the Intel chipsets. Is this for real? I want to build a system with this processor and a 648dx SIS chipset. Guess I have to research AGAIN. I absolutely do not want Intel in my system. They are just too slow at giving the features I want and need. Any thoughts?

Is there even a 648 DX? I see SIS 648 but no Sis648DX. Anyways the Sis 648 does support P4 chips.

If you're so adament against Intel in your system I don't know why you want an Intel processor then.

Yes, there will be a SiS648DX, I guess they haven't launched it yet. It'll have official support for DDR400. That's the only difference.... I think.

No the P4 2.53 will work with SiS648 chipsets.
