Hello,

Lenovo IdeaPad Y570 looks to me to be about the best bang for buck gaming laptop I can find in my price range. (If any one knows one better for 750 tops let me know)

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834246153

I am guessing that its going to come with 2 2GB Ram sticks.

Any one know any reason 2 sticks of this would not be a good idea to jump up to 8 GB ram?

Thanks for any help. First time getting a laptop for gaming.

Hello tadaka;

That's the best value out there ATM.
The best reason not to upgrade to 8GB of RAM is that you just don't need to - honest, 4GB is plenty.
But if you do take the plunge and replace the 4GB - get an 8 GB kit and save a few bucks.
Plus you get a 'matched set' which is what you really want.

The kit you listed is

G.SKILL 8GB (2 x 4GB) 204-Pin DDR3 SO-DIMM DDR3 1066 (PC3 8500) Laptop Memory Model F3-8500CL7D-8GBSQ

Shouldent I be getting the 1333 version?

G.SKILL 8GB (2 x 4GB) 204-Pin DDR3 SO-DIMM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10600) Laptop Memory Model F3-10600CL9D-8GBSQ

Thanks again for all the help
