I was recently given a monster of a server case that came with an ETASIS EPR-2305 Power supply. It is a 300W+300W N+1 redundant power supply. I was wondering if you guys think it could run my:

XP1800
2 IBM 40gigs (60GXP)
640MB Crucial 2100 ram
18gig SCSI drive
Geforce 2 Ultra

Would it be safe just to try it out? Or could an incompatible powersupply damage my components?

Try it out, if a power supply is incompatible (AT as opposed to ATX) you wouldn't be able to plug it in your motherboard properly. If it's not powerful enough, your system might me unstable or not run at all, but it won't damage your components...nor will a power supply with lots of power.
