p4 northwood 1.8A processor. Easily reaches 2.7GHz = 18 (CPU multiplier) x 150MHz (FSB) = 2.7GHz. Sells for about $147 at googleGear.com.

hi halkebul,
thanks for your reply

i also found out there is a p4 1.6G with 512k of L2 cache. However, both p4 1.6 and 1.8's FSB are 100mhz, if overclock to 150 will it require to increase the voltage of the CPU? if so, then will the origianl intel CPU fan capable of handle the heat?

The 1.8A is definitely not guaranteed to do 2.7GHz. The 1.6A will 90% of the time do 2.4GHz, with good components mind you.

You'll most likely have to increase the voltage. The stock Intel HSF is good enough for going from 1.6A to 2.4GHz.
