Temp of 41C-105F. I installed amd's retail fan that came with my retail boxed cpu. I also ordered a volcan 7+ fan just in case this fan won't keep it cool. So should I keep the fan I got with amd or install the Volcan? Also my system temp is 44c-111c should I also lower that? My motherboard is gigabyte GA-7VRXP ver 2.0. Thanks for any info.

If you have a better hs/fan then I dont know why you wouldnt install it. 41c is on the verg of 'too warm for comfort'. Install that volcano 7+ and be glad you did. :)

So 41c is bad or not great temp? Could this high temp be because the thremal gal on amds fan isnt great? or It's not getting great contect with the die?

are u kidding? 41c is considered cool for an xp2200. most plp will find their cpu running at around 50c
u dont' have 2 worry until the temperature hits 65c+

So whats Ideal temp for the Xp 2200. also will the volcan 7+ reduce the temp when combined with Arctic Silver 3 thermal gel?

41c is ok. My p4 runs at 40-52c, but I don't use any case fans, to keep my system quiet.

Holy crap you should run on the streets and show off such temp!
With AS 3 and the V7+ expect some of the lowest AMD temps under normal air cooling!
You're lucky, but unfortunatly unlucky as well.
You have the XP2200 Tbred A, the chip where even watercooling could not get more than 100MHZ out of it...
I am sorry this had been laid out now than before, but if you check on THG, they have XP2200 OC results as well as other HW sites. You should have gone for an XP1600+ which you can safely OC to XP2200 with AS3 and Volcano 7+. It will be hard to OC now, however I might be wrong and this XP2200 of yours might be a good stepping model. So let us hope for the best!

41c is fine, dont listen to anyone who tells you otherwise, the biggest test is if it locks up.

if it dosent lock up, even at 60c its fine, ok.

 Heatsinks, if you dont overclock, use the STOCK!

41c is GREAT!

My AXP 2100+ runs at 68c(idle)-78c and it's stable!

So you don't have a reason to worry..

What we need in fact, is a 1.8A's temp. This way we'd know if the assumption that P4s do run cooler at the same process, always applies.
The guy here is not even using AS3 nor an OEM HSF, so you can just imagine how that contradicts a lot of people's claims!
