I purchased a Giga-Byte mother board (GA-7VRX rev1.1) a couple of months ago. I have been experiencing an odd problem which I cannot figure out at all. My processor is a 1GHz AMD Thunderbird however on boot up it shows as a 1333MHz processor. Several utilities have displayed the processor as a 1333MHz processor as well. This is not right! Any thoughts on this problem would be appriciated.

Simple..... Your board is set to run a 133fsb. 10x133=1333
Consider yourself lucky you got a 333mhz faster processor for free
This is what we normally call overclocking. Many people spend a lot of time and money trying to do what you did by mistake.

If your system is running stable do not worry about it. Just sit back smile and enjoy all that free POWER!!!!

I aint signing nothing!!!
