Does anybody know what dates boards with the the nforce2 chipset are likely to start shipping? And what about amd T breds? I know it is going to be soon, I am desperately hanging on before I buy a much needed mobo and processor. Also, is the Tbred rev B going to be 166MHz FSB?

thanks

For nforce mobo I will say you will have to wait 2 months or more. Tbred 2400+ and 2600+ until October (some sites already accept pre-orders). As for 166FSB you need to wait to Barton, which will be ready at the beggining of 2003.

I you are in a hurry, maybe you should consider Intel, specially if you plan to overclock ...

Athlon XP 2700+ will have 166 (333) MHz FSB. It will be T-bred B.

Also nforce2 boards are already showing up on mobo manufacturer websites (such as the MSI K7N2). They should be widely available by the end of next month or beginning of Nov.

The 2400/2600 parts will mostly likely be available next month, but certainly mid-to end of the month: not the beginning of the month.
